Arlington National Cemetery

While I was in DC for the engagement session I had a chance to revisit Arlington National Cemetary.  I had not been there since I was a little kid.  Such a peaceful place and with all of the gravesites it seems to be an almost mind numbing experience of Americans who have paid with their life for our freedoms.

It really becomes personal when you see images like the one below.  Someone left a small stone with the word "pappy" placed as a personal rememberance.

The Iwo Jima Memorial.

Some people have asked me about my camera's.  For these images I used a panoramic x-pan camera which uses good old film.  I used 400 T-MAX for these prints.  I really love using film especially for black and white.  The grain just seems more real to me.
